PINE RIDGE

"MISSION OF LOVE" - MISSION TRIP 2021

We have visited the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota eighteen times in the last eight years sharing the Gospel and bringing God’s love. We have also brought coats, blankets, baby supplies, and food. We have also offered five free dental clinics for the people. Pastor Joe Betts and the Holy Spirit Ranch team revisited the Lakota people and this is their first visit in two and half years. We also encourage you to pray for the Lakota people. And please reach us if God is telling you to help and support this cause or become part of this mission through donations.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

The Pine Ridge Oglala Lakota (Sioux) Reservation covers 11,000 square miles, making it the second largest reservation in the United States. The unemployment rate here is approximately 83-85% and about 97% of the population lives below Federal poverty levels. Pine Ridge is located in what is considered to be one of the poorest counties in the United States. These wonderful first Americans did not create this situation. The authorities and much of the church in its early days corralled the Lakota people onto the reservation and stripped them of their cultural and human rights. We have visited the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota seventeen times in the last 6 years sharing the Gospel and bringing God’s love. We have also brought coats, blankets, baby supplies, feminine supplies and food. We have also offered five free dental clinics for the people and look forward to the next time God calls us to South Dakota.

ANNUAL DENTAL CLINIC

We go to South Dakota at least once a year and hold a free Dental Clinic for the Lakota People on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. There is a serious need for dental care because the Pine Ridge Reservation’s population has a large quantity of individuals suffering infections, unseen injuries and lack of care. We aim to offer a more comprehensive view of the oral health problems in Pine Ridge today. We most commonly do cleanings, teachings on oral health, fillings, and other restorative procedures.

We hold a booth at the National Hinman Dental Convention in Atlanta every March with the purpose of finding support and volunteer help to complete the work that we do in the Pine Ridge Reservation each year. Of course, it is a great opportunity to spread the Gospel and to pray for people.

WHY SUPPORT PINE RIDGE

Your support will keep us do our Dental Clinic every year. We would love to do more than once in a year but we need your help. We love to help our native people and you can make a difference and show love to them by supporting us.
